As many of you know, the last 5 months of my life have been rather nomadic. In June of this year, I embarked on a trip through South America. We started in Brazil, ended in Peru, and saw so much in between. Throughout our journey, I was transfixed by the explosion of color. Quite a contrast from the infamous monochrome of New York City, South America was brimming with neons and patterns. Peru, especially, is famous for their textiles (of which I now have a not insignificant collection). I felt a special kinship to Peruvian women whose uniforms, it seemed, demanded every article of clothing to be a bright color.
I'll have plenty more to post about our trip as I go through photos, reminisce, and try to make a book. For now, I'll leave you with a few bits & bobs.
