A few weekends ago, I went adventuring with a couple of girlfriends to the Brooklyn neighborhood Ditmas Park. It has long been known by outsiders for it's beautiful Victorian homes, many of which are painted bright cheerful colors. The surrounding commercial neighborhood does not quite match its residential counterpart, but it still charming. Our absentee guide & guardian of Hello New York, Sophia Richter, led us to:
a yummy curry lunch @ Cafe Tibet
a peek in Sycamore, a flower shop / bar
a quick coffee at Quartha
a walk around Malborough, Argyle and Rugby streets
a greek afternoon snack at Mimi's Hummus
Definitely worth checking out, even on a cold wintry day!
