I'm thrilled to finally share my work on Thomas Wallis' new freelance business. Although his company is technically named TW Films, we decided the brand should center around his own name, since that is what clients need most to remember.
Perhaps unconventionally, I started with the website. We went through multiple iterations before deciding on a scrolling front page with supporting secondary pages for the sections that required more detail. Once I had the bare bones structure of the content on the site, I took a step back and began experimenting with type & color, ultimately landing on a muted green that differentiated his site from the industry standard black-background. The logo & graphics needed to stay simple: it was his video portfolio that we wanted to take center stage on both his site & print materials.
To match his brand new site, we needed some updated photos. I spent a Sunday afternoon photographing Thomas & his new gear alongside friend & director, Gary Bardizbanian. The photos were leveraged on www.wallisdp.com as well as sites where he is featured as a collaborator.
Lastly, I developed a Business Plan & Brand Brief for Thomas to personally use & reference, so that his brand can remain strong & consistent for years to come.
